This is simply unacceptable. This botulism outbreak, frankly any outbreak that sickens babies, should never have happened. We can do more to protect the most vulnerable.
The stork in “operation stork speed” clearly flew into a brick wall and crash landed.
This child’s parents bought ByHeart Infant Formula at a Walmart. ByHeart utilized powdered organic whole milk from Organic West Milk and Dairy Farmer’s of America. These companies will face the legal and moral consequences for what happened to the baby below and the 50 other infants who suffered a similar fate across the United States.
I am off to the “other Washington” next week – barring any government shutdown – to have a candid discussion with policy makers on how to avoid the above.
